Introduction

It must be a great fun if you are able to collect all the funny video to store in your computer or enjoy them in your cellphone and tablet, but unfortunately almost all video website won't allow you to download their videos directly, for free. Free Any Video Downloader provides an efficient way to download videos from over 200 major video sites and is able to batch download single videos as well as videos of playlists and users in all available formats provided by the sites.

Step 1. Input Video URL

Copy and paste the URL in the bar of "Fast link add". After that, choose the link type in the dropdown menu of "Link type" and then click "Add". The default link type is "Single video/audio" but if you are trying to download videos of a whole playlist or user, choose "Playlist/User".

It is flexible how you want to input the URLs and if you click "Add Link" you can see all options:

Add a link - to download single video or audio, enter the URL in activated window and click "OK";

Add links in batch - to download multiple videos, enter the URLs (one link per line) in activated window and click "OK";

Add playlist/user - to download videos of a playlist or user, enter the URL of the playlist or user in activated window and click "OK"

Add playlists/users in batch - to download videos of multiple playlists or users, enter the URLs (one link per line) in activated window and click "OK";

Import links from a text file - to import URLs from a text file, find the text file with URLs (one link per line) in activated window and click "Open".

For the sites that requires login to download audio, just enter the URL in "Fast link add" bar, click "Password" to activate "Username" & "Password" boxes in which you can input the correct username and password you use for particular site, then click "Add". You can add username and password for every link you input. For your safety, the username and password will not be saved in Free Any Video Downloader.

Step 2. Choose Preferred Format

When the URL is imported, our free video downloader software will analyze and list the links of all video formats provided by the particular site in "Format" menu , along with thumbnails of the video and some details like resolution, codec, framerate, size, etc. Choose the one that best fits your device or player applications. If you want to preview the video before get them downloaded, click "Preview" and there a previewer window will be activated, playing the video. You can use "Remove" or "Clear All" to delete listed tasks.

Step 3. Choose Output Folder

To choose a folder to store downloaded videos, click folder icon in "Output directory" bar. In "Post-download action" menu you can choose to let the PC automatically close the program, open output folder, shutdown PC/log off/restart or do nothing when download is finished.

Step 4. Start Download

Click "Download" to start download when everything is ready. A process bar and some detailed info will display. If you want to cancel the download, click "Stop". When download is finished, click "Open Output Folder" or "Open" to find the downloaded video. To view the log report, click "Logs".

Step 5. Advanced Settings

Keeping download engines up-to-date is very important because if you don't, the download may fail due to the changes of the video sharing website. So please click "Update download engine" regularly.

There are more advanced settings: click "Settings" and in the activated window you can set maximum parallel download processes; download audio when a "DASH" video is selected; don't download again if local file contains the same video; don't load thumbs; play a sound when download is done; check updates on start.
